ZymaDerm Patent Information
"We tested silver, iodine, and other minerals in combination with tea tree oil. These are all included in our patent application and will soon be protected by federal law against copy. We use iodine in ZymaDerm for one reason....because it works. It works better than anything else tested, including silver. Silver may be fine against bacteria, but molluscum is caused by a virus and has nothing to do with bacteria. The silver/tea tree oil combination didn't work any better than tea tree oil alone."

U.S. Patent Application No. 2005-01236254 , entitled COMPOSITIONS FOR TREATMENT OF VIRAL-INDUCED SKIN LESIONS AND METHODS OF USING SAME, was published on June 9, 2005. The application was filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on June 25, 2004 and assigned application serial no. 10/877,474.
Our patent application covers the use of tea tree oil with minerals of various kinds, both organically bound and inorganic, including silver in all its forms Why did we use iodine in ZymaDerm? Quite simply, it works better than silver or any of the other minerals tested....much better. Silver and tea tree oil was no better than tea tree oil alone, about a 20% response. However, with the synergism between iodine and tea tree oil, we were able to get reponse rates over 80%. These are the facts...that's what we are about at CBR, Inc. Not slick marketing that plays on your fear.
ZymaDerm contains a uniquely formulated organically bound iodine that easily passes through the wall of the virus particle (called the capsid) where it works in concert with components in the tea tree oil to inhibit virus replication, help stimulate the body's normal immune responses, and get rid of molluscum. The iodine and tea tree oil working together is called synergism, and results in a powerful response. In this case, the sum is greater than the parts. That is, both together give a much greater effect than either alone, and greater than the simple sum of effects of the two components. There is an interaction between the iodine and tea tree oil that amplifies the effect on the molluscum.
