FAQ:

1) What is in
ZymaDerm?

ZymaDerm (previously called Virucide) contains iodine, Echinacea, and thuja in a soothing tincture of M. alternifolia (T-40 tea tree oil). ZymaDerm is a safe, natural, topical agent to aid in the treatment of rashes such as molluscum. It is plant-based, non-toxic, painless, and contains no drugs. Our medical director, an M.D. research scientist with a dozen publications in peer-reviewed medical journals and over 10 years of clinical practice, developed ZymaDerm. Our proprietary blend of these safe agents is patent-pending and treats you gently.

2) Is ZymaDerm safe?

We used ZymaDerm in our own practice under close supervision for over 2 years before making it available to the public. There have been no reports of long term side effects from the use of ZymaDerm. 2 years of follow up is commonly required by the FDA prior to release of a new regulated drug. About 1/3000 persons will develop a sensitization reaction to ZymaDerm that shows itself as irritation, itching, or redness spreading beyond the area of the molluscum or herpes bump itself. If you or your child experience any discomfort or irritation from ZymaDerm, discontinue use.

The components of ZymaDerm have a long history of safe use topically for skin problems.

3) Is ZymaDerm OK to use on all parts of the body?

ZymaDerm may safely be applied to the face, genitals, and all other areas of the skin. You may use on the lips but not in the oral cavity such as the inside of the cheeks (buccal mucosa) or on the tongue. Care should be taken to avoid getting ZymaDerm in the eyes as it will sting. If this should happen, flush with lots of warm tap water. Each bottle comes with a glass rod applicator or a small brush to facilitate application to the molluscum bump and minimize contact with normal skin. ZymaDerm is non-caustic and will not harm normal skin, but an occasional sensitization of the skin can occur resulting in some redness and irritation. For molluscum bumps near the eye, one customer kindly shared this idea with us: use the head of a pin (not the pointed end...ouch!) to apply enough ZymaDerm to moisten the bump but not so much that it runs off into the eye. Thank you for that useful suggestion!

ZymaDerm is NOT TO BE TAKEN INTERNALLY as it contains iodine.

4) Why doesn't my doctor know about ZymaDerm?

First of all ZymaDerm is new, and secondly CBR, Inc. is small so we don't have a $30 million budget for a national advertising campaign or to pay a sales staff to visit physician offices as is typically done with pharmaceuticals. We would appreciate letting your physician know about ZymaDerm to help spread the word.

5) Does ZymaDerm always work?

Nothing works all of the time for everyone. However we have over 5000 customers to date and the results of our original study hold true. You have about a 76% chance that ZymaDerm will clear the molluscum on your child. For use in adults, the results are a little less, closer to 70%. ZymaDerm does not prevent new molluscum bumps from occurring: nothing does. Eventually an immune response will get rid of the molluscum virus but that may take several years. In the meantime, new molluscum lesions can continue to occur.

6) What if it doesn't work for me?

We can't guarantee that ZymaDerm will work for you, but we do offer a 6 month money back guarantee to help assure your satisfaction. If you are not happy let us know and we will give you a refund up to 6 months from the date of purchase. No conditions, no exceptions. (Please don't cheat. Thank you).

7) Is ZymaDerm FDA approved?

ZymaDerm is 'FDA Compliant' and conforms to the standards of the Homeopathic Pharacopeia of the United States (HPUS), a compendium recognized as both official and authoritative by the FDA. Each of the ingredients in ZymaDerm is stated in the Pharmacopeia to be useful as an aid in the treatment of skin rash conditions. If a drug-free agent is listed in the HPUS for treating certain conditions, a product containing that agent may be marketed for those conditions without specific FDA approval. The approval has already been granted for those agents listed, as long as the concentrations used in the product are within the specified limits. ZymaDerm meets these criteria as specified in the HPUS. For more information you may search FDA regulations in the Code of Federal Regulations (see "Safety" for link to the FDA web site). Please note ZymaDerm is a TOPICAL, not an ORAL homeopathic. As such, it is not infinitely dilute as with traditional oral homeopathics.
